Detective David Hencratt Detective David Hencratt began his career with the Tehama County Sheriff's Office in 1988.  He was assigned to the Jail Division, the Patrol Division, and is currently assigned to investigations. Detective Hencratt's specialized duties have included Jail Training Officer, Field Training Officer, Narcotics Detective Canine Handler, and a tour with the county-wide interagency drug task force.  He is currently a detective assigned to marijuana investigations.
 


Detective Robert Brinton Detective Robert Brinton  has worked for the Tehama County Sheriff’s Department since December 1991. Detective Brinton was assigned to the Jail Division for 3 years, then the Patrol Division for 6 years.

During his jail assignment, he operated the Weekend Work Program, the Home Incarceration Program, and arranged transportation for inmates to prison. During his time in patrol he was the Bowman / Lake California Resident Deputy, a Field Training Officer and shift supervisor. Detective Brinton has been assigned to the Detective Division since September 2000 and was assigned as the Child abuse Sexual Assault Investigator. In 2003 Detective Brinton was assignment to the Tehama and Glenn Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (TAGMET) where he was a Training coordinator/training Officer, Drug Endangered Children Coordinator, and Supervisor.

In June 2007 Detective Brinton returned to the Detective division as the child abuse and sex crimes investigator. He is also a certified Computer Voice Stress Analyst.  He is a member of the California Sexual Assault Investigators Association and the Pacific Association of Certified Voice Stress Analysts.

 

Detective Richard Knox: Detective Richard Knox began his law enforcement in 1986 in the United States Air Force, as a Security specialist. He served for 4 ½ years and he earned his associates degree in criminal justice during that time. The Air Force afforded him the opportunity to live in Europe and to travel the around the world.

Detective Knox has worked for the Tehama County Sheriff Office since December 1991. He was assigned to the jail division and home incarceration for two years. He had been assigned to the Patrol Division for 14 years, where he was a Resident Deputy for Los Molinos/Gerber area for over three years. During his time on patrol he was a Canine handler, a Field Training Officer, and a Shift Supervisor.

Currently Detective Knox is the Child abuse and Sex crimes Investigator, the Canine unit Coordinator, and the S.W.A.T. team sniper.
