Martial Arts 
Center for Excellence

The Tehama County PAL's "Martial Arts Center for Excellence and Sports Physical Fitness" is located at 1005 Vista Way, Suite E, Red Bluff (off of Ford Street).

This program is for boys and girls ages 5 to 18, and held weekly unless otherwise indicated by the instructors.
 

Martial Arts Schedule
Ages 5 to 11 Tuesdays - 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Ages 12 to 18 Fridays - 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
 
 
 
Program Coordinator & Instructor:
John Minton - Army and Marine Corps (11 years active and reserve) -
Deputy Sheriff (Marion County - Indianapolis), 1980 - 81 (Academy in 1979); Dept. of Defense Police 1987 - 90 (Training Officer); USMC Emergency Response Team Leader / Platoon Sergeant - Colleges - Indiana University, St. Mary's college, Kaplan University - Certificate in Terrorism and National Security Management Program (Graduated and made Dean's list twice and President's list once).
 
POST Certificate in Indiana and California (832); POST Defensive Tactics Instructor's Certificate in California and STC (Standards and Training for Corrections) Instructor's course.
 
Martial Arts - began in 1969 in Indianapolis - Jujutsu, Kempo, Karate, and about a dozen different weapons.  Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor (before the current program they have now).
 
2002 Male Volunteer of the Year - California PAL.
